It started with just a little castle, lake and river…2013-07-27_18-24-58_176 - Copy

Then some farm land was smoothed and plotted and a towering mountain grew…2013-07-27_18-24-48_877

cities were erected… roads were made… lakes were dug… 2013-07-27_18-29-58_816

Rivers were forged… 2013-07-27_18-48-34_115

We had a most fabulous time at our picnic dinner the other night. We went to the park and ate then we built all that! as we built we told each other all about the different things we were building and how they contributed to our sand country. Emma and Tintin made (with moms help) a great tower were the people were trying to get to heaven… yes we just finished studying the Sumerians and the tower of Babble… then god (or two very eager three year olds) destroyed the tower and told the people they needed to make happy choices to get to heaven. Teigen made a lake that is so deep it has killed many scientist and explorers because it goes all the way to the center of the earth and there are lots of crazy animals that live deep deep down. He also build some of the rivers and a jail and most of the towering mountain that helps protect the capital palace. The kids loved running up and down the river to make it deeper and pretending they were the water.

All in all we had a great time! I wasn’t sure weather to put this on our family blog or on our homeschool learning log but I decided to put it on both!
